Hands on Clay
Hey kids! Want to make pottery? You need to register for one of the Saturdays in June for Hands on Clay.
This pottery making class starting at 9 am and lasting till noon on the four Saturdays in June. The first Saturday is for older students (12-16 yrs old) and the remaining three Saturdays are for students 7- 12 yrs. old.
The Class will be held at the Mitch Young’s ceramic Studio, 141 Sunset Drive, Hollister. (Just off Hwy 65 toward the College of the Ozarks, which is right on 165. Stay on 165 to State Street –just past the right turn. Take State street to the left, it then forks, go left on Sunset to the Studio).
Call now for registrations– 336-4255. We will accept walk-ins, but would like to have pre-registration. Classes are limited to 12 students.
There sill be and Open House Pottery Exhibit at the Branson Arts Council Office, 210 Compton Drive (Branson Community Center) in July. Date to be announced.
Children’s Theatre Workshop
Want to be an actor, director, stage hand?? This is your chance to find out if you would like being in the spotlight. A weeklong experience in theatre, teaching you how to act, speak, produce a play an all the things performers have to do is just what you will get at the Branson Arts Council Children’s Theatre Workshop. There is even a public performance at the end of the week to show off your new skills.
It will be held the middle two weeks of July. There is one sessions for students 12-16 and 2 or 3 sessions for 7-12 yr olds. Call for more information and registration—336-4255.
This event will be held at the College of the Ozarks in the Jones Building. There will be a public performance at the end of each week of instruction.
